A triolet consists of 8 lines. The 1st line is repeated as the 4th & 7th lines. The 2nd line is repeated as the 8th or final line.
Add difficulty or depth to your triolet by making each line 8 syllables, written in iambic tetrameter. In another variation you could write in pentameter, using 10 syllable lines.
Rhyme scheme: ABaAabAB (the capital letters represent repeating lines)
