Revamped!

My blog redesign is complete! OK, maybe “complete” isn’t the appropriate word, but it is certainly very close. I’m actually quite pleased with the result. Changes include:

– Links to pages are across the top of the page instead of along the side.
– My About page has been rewritten.
– I have added a Short Story glossary page.
– A Photo Gallery has been added.
– Several links and navigation tools have been added for ease of use.
– A Poetic Forms glossary is under construction. If you are a poet, please take a look at this and consider contributing! The more knowledge that is shared, the more beneficial this section will be.

I had fun with this. It reminded me of a job I used to have. Well, sort-of… I got the pleasure of doing the work without any interference from incompetent upper management, delays due to lazy co-workers, or self-entitled department heads demanding a rush because of their inability to prioritize. So yeah, way better than that job. Anyway, if you are working on a redesign for your blog and run into a snag, I’d actually like to help. Just hit me up!

Please Excuse the Mess

Renovations are in progress! The time has come to make a major overhaul on the appearance and functionality of my blog. I loved the Dusk til Dawn theme, still do. However, it best served me back when the blog had little content. It is not the most efficient layout now that I have been around a while.

My goal is to maintain the simplistic aesthetic while adding easier navigation, better formatting on phones & tablets, and a more professional presence. All of my existing content is available during construction, of course. However, I expect there to be a fair amount of trial and error during this process, so it may be a few days before I put up a new post. Please bear with me.

In addition to navigation and format, I want to improve my blog so I can include additional information. I will still post poetry, short stories, photography, and novel tidbits. I am also building an area into the site for an interactive glossary. There will be more on that soon.

Thank you for your patience while I tinker around. If you have any suggestions or feedback regarding the new layout, by all means, leave a comment. I could use all the help I can get. As always, thank you for following & reading. I hope when the dust settles, it is an even better experience for all.
