This ailing society
Is no magistrate.
Your choices are your own.
Life isn’t subject to approval,
And taste isn’t universal.
It’s your tale; Write the
Ending. Live the adventure.
One day you will be silenced; One
Minute a narrator, the next a flashback.
At that moment, your story is locked.
A legacy can’t be altered from the grave. The
Time for editing is upon you.

Or shall I say that we must be optimistic in nature?

I happen to believe that the best, and most enduring stories are born from optimism. 🙂

Believing in yourself isn’t a choice; this is all about our life and we’re meant to be our own story makers here. #OnlyOneLife= #OurRules

Thank you! I know Fight Club wasn’t intended to be an uplifting book/movie, but it does send a strong message… “You are not your job. You’re not how much money you have in the bank. You’re not the car you drive. You’re not the contents of your wallet…” I am a big fan of that particular message. 🙂

Thanks Joe!! It’s pretty easy to get inspired when the poem is based on a Chuck Palahniuk line. I am so honored that you liked it enough to reblog it. THANK YOU!

*High five!
Thanks! It’s a good thing that I truly believe this too. I walked away from a decent paying career to be a writer (which so far, is a volunteer position). Even so, I have never been happier in my life. 🙂

@ Carrie – I completely understand. Being happy outweighs that income factor – but not to everyone. I agree with it. I hope this new pursuit that you have taken launches your career into the next phase of your journey. How is the volunteer position working for you?
I miss that aspect.

I would be happy if my volunteer status lasted forever. No obligations. No commitments. No deadlines. However, I am also really excited about my project in development. If it happened to take off, I’d be happy with that too. Win-win! 🙂
