A portal opened,
We were allowed to see
Through the window
Of our destiny.
So we gazed,
Hand in hand,
At our future
In the sand.
Nearing our exit,
Still as one,
Marveling at
The setting sun.
Content in love,
We will not dread
The final dusk
That lies ahead.
One day we will
Sail into night,
Hand in hand,
Final twilight.
Photo taken by my then 10 year old son.
Such a wonderful poem to match a beautiful photo that screams out true love.

Thank you so much! True love is out there but not always easy to find. We are fortunate to have wandered into one another’s paths in this lifetime.

I concur. Some go their entire lifetime without finding that special one someone to light up each breath they breathe.

Beautiful! True love can be felt even beyond the two that are in love. *I* feel it too! :))))

Thank you! I am proud to have a connection with Brian that is visible, palpable to others. I’m not much of a role model on my own, but my marriage is an example I am honored to set for my children. 🙂

Awwww…..that is just so special Carrie. When two separate people can come together and even be stronger? That’s a gift!
